Alicia Nickerson

Graduated from the National Personal Training Institute in January of 2012. Very passionate about this industry and wanting to help others feel good about themselves through adapting healthy habits of exercise and healthy eating. Will push you to exceed your goals and full contentment! I want others to enjoy having a healthy lifestyle and enjoy coming to workout. I adapt the workout routine to what your goals are to give you the best results. Saturday mornings I do bootcamps, which I change up every time to make them fun and interesting. They will vary from a circuit with a mix of exercises to keep your heart pumping, sometimes there will be a larger mix of weights added in to help you build lean muscle, or sometimes they'll be made into a competition with teams to keep it fun! What opened my eyes to see that this industry was meant for me is that I had grown up struggling with my weight. In sixth grade I found that I had hypothyroidism, and assumed the sole reason for my struggles was due to that. Back in January of 2011 I started doing extensive research and was finally able to get myself to where I was content with by changing up my diet as well as workout routine. I remember seeing female figure bodybuilders in magazines and thinking, “I would love to look like that!” but wasn't sure if I would be able to get to where I needed to be to compete. I then saw my first bodybuilding show in October of 2011 and realized this was meant for me. Health and fitness is a lifestyle choice that you could never regret, I decided that I was going to push myself to be able to compete as well. One year before seeing this show, I’d of never imagined to do something like this and will now be doing my first figure and bikini division bodybuilding show in October of 2012. I want people to see that if you believe in yourself and put in your all, you can reach or even exceed your goals.
